YOUKO KURAMA - MINAMINO SHUICHI - STORY - ANIME - MANGA - ASK - LINK ME WHY? Why do I like them? To be honest, Yuu Yuu Hakusho was my *first* anime, ever. I mean, it was my first after the regular classics everyone saw, Sailor Moon and Dragonball. It was my first REAL anime. I still remember the day back when I was surfing Ebay for the first time, and saw a picture of Youko Kurama. I knew nothing about Japanese mythology, but all I could think was "OMG, he's so hawt! What is he? If it's a he.... Yeah, he has to be, he has no boobs!" What I was looking at was a playing card deck, and of course, sellers as accurate as they are, listed it as "ANIME PLAYING CARDS" so of course I had NO idea what the crap the series was. As luck would have it, I ran into a "What Yuu Yuu Hakusho character are you?" page, and took the quiz. I remember, I got Hiei on one occassion and Yuusuke on another. I was thoroughly unimpressed when I saw the Minamino Shuichi; I wanted to be him! Later, after purchasing some fansubs I discovered that not only was Shuichi and Kurama the same person (technicalities aside), but Kurama was "that hawt guy" I saw on some cards back on Ebay, years ago. From that moment, I fell in love with the series. They're by far my favourite characters, and because of them I've developed an obsession about kitsunes, and Japanese demons.
